Hello, I’m Charlie Kim, and I’m running to be your U.S. Congressional Representative for IL-14. I am deeply honored to have this opportunity to share my vision and goals for our district, our state, and our country. My mission is to enact meaningful reforms that will positively impact your lives, provide opportunities, and empower our community for a brighter future.
Reforming Immigration and Citizenship
Our country has always been a land of opportunity, but today, we face significant challenges in maintaining the American Dream. We must support legal immigration, protect U.S. citizens by enforcing laws, and reduce the taxpayer burden. Incompetent politicians have made budgetary mistakes and unwise migration policies that stress our infrastructure, limit our resources, and oppress our opportunities. I propose enforcing the Secure the Border Act of 2023 and avoiding legislations driven by political interests that do not prioritize the needs of Americans.
Empowering Workers and Promoting American Business
Hard-working families and devoted employees deserve better incomes, more benefits, and fewer taxes, while allowing employers to manage and prosper. We need better regulations to promote American businesses and farms, support middle-class communities, and reduce favored trade status with countries that do not mutually support the U.S.A. By empowering workers and promoting business growth, we can create a prosperous environment with less government interference.
Strengthening Education and Parental Rights
Education is the foundation of our future. Our government must listen to parents, support teachers, and empower students to reach their full potential. I advocate for the Parent Bill of Rights Act, which ensures parental rights in educational institutions and provides necessary support for teachers and administrators. By doing so, we can create a safe and supportive environment for our students to learn and grow.
Ensuring Quality Healthcare for All
Healthcare is a human right, and every American deserves access to quality healthcare without worrying about rising costs. Our current healthcare system is unaffordable and impractical. I propose establishing a comprehensive healthcare system that includes patients, providers, and insurance companies, promoting profits for businesses, and ensuring coverage for essential medical services. This system should not burden taxpayers and should provide the best possible healthcare for everyone.
Enhancing Public Safety and Defending the Constitution
We must preserve our Constitutional rights and create sensible laws to protect our citizens and first responders. Our criminal justice system needs reform to prioritize rehabilitation over incarceration and to support community safety. By creating and enforcing effective laws and community programs, we can reduce crime and support reformed individuals in becoming valuable community members.
The Truth and My Commitment
The truth is, I have the knowledge and determination to solve the issues facing our congressional district. Politicians often complicate problems, claiming they need more time while we continue to sacrifice and suffer. I am committed to common-sense actions and detailed solutions that will make a real difference. My dedication to serving you as your representative in Congress is unwavering, and I am determined to bring positive change to IL-14.
